2-A Leave no Trace? (see pg. 18)
These photos were taken on BLM LTVA areas outside Quartzsite. Trash, lots of wood, gigantic firepits, even full landscaped walkways were left behind by campers. There were many beautiful art displays that would look great in someone‛s garden, but this is the natural des- ert. The desert is not the place for memorials for pets with plastic flowers. Contact Celia‛s Rainbow Gardens at Town Park for info on memorials, 928-927-6551.

photo enhancement process, with help from our printers at the Yuma Sun. One photo is theirs, one is ours (we mixed them up for fun).
We want your input on which you think is best.

Consider the idea that good campsites are found and not made.
Altering a site should not be necessary.
Allow others a sense of discovery by leaving rocks, plants, archaeological artifacts and other objects of interest as you find them.
• Do not alter the natural landscape by painting rocks or defac- ing or damaging any natural or archaeological feature. • You must keep the LTVA and, specifically, your campsite, in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
