MO Alpha on Top at MU I I am a sophomore from Lee's Summit, Missouri, studying electrical engineering. Since joining last year, I have been grateful for these men who have already helped to shape my college experience, and I'm excited to be serving as 2024's president. Following November elections, our incoming executive board met to create a motto and set our goals. That motto, inspired by MU football coach Drinkwitz, is "Winning Doesn't Negotiate." The message is simple: recognizing the necessary effort for success and putting forth that effort without cutting any corners is the only way to achieve greatness. Our goals were clear: 1) achieving a 3.5 GPA with over 120 members, 2) providing engaging opportunities for all brothers through programming, brotherhood, and member development, and 3) winning MU's Council Excellence Cup—a title reserved for the best fraternity on campus. Our focus and drive paid off as we recently learned that we took first in grades among all fraternities with a GPA of 3.499! Spring recruitment activities have been fruitful, adding 10 outstanding young men and building total manpower to 125. We recruit 365 days a year, so it is never a bad time to reach out if anyone you know is interested in SigEp at Mizzou! Please email me at wzcarlson0429@gmail.com if you know a rising freshman or sophomore who may be a fit for our chapter. Special thanks go to Noah Voss '26, who served as the head liaison for both RAMS and Greek Week, leading the chapter to back-to-back first- place victories against tough competition. Those big wins meant SigEp was a highly sought-after chapter to be paired with for Homecoming this fall; we're excited to announce we'll be working with the women of Alpha Delta Pi and men of Phi Kappa Theta. Finally, Missouri Alpha recently celebrated its largest graduating class since reforming in 2019, with 20 brothers earning diplomas. We are beyond thankful for their contributions and wish them the best as they dive into their careers! Fraternally, Wyatt Carlson '26, Chapter President Brothers at Carlson Leadership Academy in Chicago. More chapter wins! Spring events started off strong with Mizzou's annual Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis philanthropy. Missouri Alpha was crowned as champion the second year in a row! The community raised $178,000 for this great cause, and SigEp led the way.
