I n March, more than 130 Theta Omega collegians took their first hard hat tour of the house. They had the opportunity to see the progress made around the house and left even more excited about their soon-to-be home. We're thrilled to share some construction updates as we quickly approach chapter move-in this fall. After all the framing was completed, we quickly began hanging drywall, starting at the top of the house and working our way down. This means that our rooms and spaces will soon be adorned with new, fresh finishes— from hardwood-inspired flooring and paint to decorative light fixtures and tile for our bathrooms and servery spaces! Seeing areas like our multi-purpose dining/chapter room come to life puts into perspective how our collegiate members will benefit from our new home. I hope these updates make you even more excited about Theta Omega's new house. We look forward to sharing more progress as the house continues to take shape. Of course, none of this would be possible without the generous alumnae who have contributed to Our Home, Our Future – The Campaign for Theta Omega. Thank you to the 135 sisters who have helped us raise $713,771 toward our $1 million goal. Their support is allowing us to make our dream a reality and will help ensure the success of this project. We still have a little less than $300,000 left to raise to achieve our goal. If you have not yet joined your sisters in the campaign, please consider doing so today. Remember, any size gift counts and will leave a lasting impact on the future of our sisterhood. If you have already made a gift—thank you! Reach out to your sisters and encourage them to give, or if it is within your means, we would welcome a new donation or extended pledge from you. Every sister's support will bring us closer to achieving our goal and providing our collegians with a wonderful new home. Thank you for helping to create an even brighter future for Tri Delta at KU. SPRING 2024 CAMPAIGN UPDATE TRI DELTA, UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS OUR NEW HOME IS COMING TOGETHER BEAUTIFULLY! We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Janine Gracy '82 to get to know her better and to express our appreciation for her incredible support of the capital campaign. Janine, an avid Chiefs fan, radiates love for KU and Tri Delta. Now living with her husband in Lawrence, she recently drove past the construction site and couldn't help but share her excitement as she saw the progress unfolding! J anine currently holds the role of executive director at Trinity In-Home Care, a licensed non-profit that provides non- medical in-home and community support to elderly and disabled individuals in Douglas County, Kansas. Her work is more than just a job; it's a passionate commitment to making a difference. "There's never been a day when I don't feel like I am helping people," she said. Drawing on her experience as a local house corporation volunteer, Janine fervently believes the house had reached its renovation limits. She places high value on creating a safe, comfortable, and secure living environment, which drives her deep commitment to supporting this housing campaign. She is particularly excited about the reconfigured room designs and areas that will "foster togetherness while still providing privacy." Janine created a few more shared memories at DDD B&B at the old house before it was torn down. "It was such an amazing experience to stay in our beloved house one last time!" she said. "We sat in a circle on the deck and caught each other up on the last 40 years." For Janine, Tri Delta has always been there, even as she moved to various cities around the country with her husband. When asked about her advice for others contemplating support for Tri Delta, Janine delivered a compelling message: "I want people to think back on the lessons learned in that house and where you would be today if it wasn't for Tri Delta. If you can put a value on that—that's what you should give." e Invaluable Impact of Sisterhood JANINE GRACY '82 SHARES WHY SHE GAVE Turn over to see how you can help!
