Brian Atwood '89 is glad to do his part for The Next 100 Years of Leadership as he reflects on what lifelong Sigma Chi membership means to him. THE FRATERNAL IMPACT Like many young men in college, Brian didn't initially know if Greek life was for him. One of his close high school friends had pledged Sigma Chi, which opened a door for Brian to consider Fraternity life. "He introduced me to several members and pledges," Brian said. "They made me want to become part of Sigma Chi." Brian's Sigma Chi experience helped him develop leadership skills while gaining self- confidence and many fraternal connections. "A true sense of accomplishment and the pride in belonging to an outstanding brotherhood prepared me for life beyond college." After graduation, Brian went on to work as a bond underwriter. He later joined his family business, serving as the company's president for the past 20 years. SUPPORTING SIGMA CHI Following a formative Gamma Delta experience that helped Brian adjust to the professional world, he is glad to have the chance to pay it forward for future members. The campaign has seen great progress so far thanks to alumni like Brian who recognize the potential impact of a modern facility. "I've been very fortunate, and I see the opportunity to give back as an exciting and worthwhile endeavor," Brian said. He expects a new home for Gamma Delta Chapter to help maintain Sigma Chi's status for years as a premier Fraternity at Oklahoma State. For those who haven't supported the campaign yet, Brian urges them to consider the weight of this excellent opportunity. "Regardless of the size of your gift, please don't miss this opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful in the future of so many young men for years to come." You can connect with Brian and talk about the campaign at batwood@atwoods.com. "This campaign is something bigger than any of us individually."
