CHAPTER ETERNAL
John E. "Jack" Killeen '65, 79, entered Chapter Eternal on May 27, 2022, at the University of
Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Atlantic City and raised in West Cape May, Jack
became a "Man of All Seasons" with interests in hunting, fishing, skiing, kayaking, horseback
riding, and many others.
Jack graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and later
earned master's degrees in personnel administration and psychology. He had a distinguished
29-year career in the U.S. Air Force, serving in various key positions, including Director of
Security Police, U.S. Forces in Turkey, and Commander of the Security Police Agency at
Kirtland Air Force Base. In 1996, Jack was one of only three Senior U.S. Air Force Security
Police Force Officers in history to be awarded the "Order of the Sword."
After retiring from the military, he worked at Los Alamos National Laboratories. In 2016, Jack
moved back home to Cape May after nearly 22 years of residing in New Mexico, where he
became active with the Cape Island Deer Club and Kiwanis Club. He will be greatly missed by
his loving family.
Joseph V. "Jo Jo" Luistro '91, 55, of Edison, N.J., entered Chapter Eternal on January 18,
2024, surrounded by family after battling ALS. Born in Toronto and raised in Jersey City, Joe
graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in administration of justice.
Joe served in law enforcement, starting with the Rutgers University Police Department and
later joining the Edison Police Department in 1999. He held various roles, including patrol,
traffic safety, recruitment, and assignment to the local DEA Task Force. Joe was promoted
to Sergeant in 2016 and was known for mentoring rookie officers. He was the first Asian
American police officer and supervisor in the history of the Edison Police Department.
Joe also had a successful career in real estate and was an active community member, serving
on numerous boards and organizations. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will
be deeply missed by all who knew him.
