INVESTING IN
OUR BROTHERS
Local Chapter Excellence
Surges Forward
W
e hope that as many of you receiving this
newsletter as possible are already aware of
our nationwide capital campaign for Local Chapter
Excellence. This bold initiative has become the
strategic plan for the future of Alpha Gamma Rho,
and we are grateful for your enthusiastic support in
Making Better Men at the grassroots level.
Local Chapter Excellence, as you may remember,
is a three-pronged approach:
Enhancing current programming.
Paving the way for new programming.
Reducing (if not eliminating) the financial
burden for every chapter.
We are humbled by the historic support shown
for this initiative. The campaign has raised
$17.6 million and counting—making this by far
the largest fundraising effort in our Fraternity's
nearly 150-year existence.
The initial idea for Local Chapter Excellence
came from the late Gene Lemon, Alpha '59.
His dream would not be possible without the
alumni and donors representing 71 Alpha
Gamma Rho chapters across the United States.
Collegiate members who have helped test the
new programming say that it is the best they have
ever received, and they are truly grateful for the
financial support from our alumni.
If you have already joined the donor list on page 2,
we thank you for your generosity and encourage you
to further your support by spreading the word! If you
have yet to give, there is still time to join this crucial
step in AGR history. Think about your college years
in our Fraternity—this is your opportunity to build on
that formative experience so brothers everywhere
can grow.
Making Better Men starts with each chapter; let's
give them the best Alpha Gamma Rho has to offer.
