2 A s president of Alpha Nu, I am excited to report our accomplishments as the 2023-24 school year comes to an end. Following tradition, Alpha Nu won overall grades out of every fraternity and sorority on campus. We achieved a fall cumulative GPA of 3.71, and 35 of 92 active members received a 4.0. Alpha Nu had the sixth-best GPA of 141 Beta chapters, trailing only Columbia, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Northeastern, and Vanderbilt. The University of Kansas boasts one of the top finance scholar programs in the nation. The most recent class of 20 scholars welcomed six Alpha Nus: Daly Steinhauser '26, Zach Davidson '26, Asher Denk '26, Will Eckels '26, Charlie Horn '26, and Brady Adler '27. With the addition of these six brothers, Alpha Nus now makes up one-third of the entire finance scholar program. One of these scholars is Turner Seals '24, the fourth Alpha Nu in 10 years to serve as the university's student body president. Heading up the 2024 Rock Chalk Revue Advisory Board were Adam Jolles '24 and Tanner Helton '24, who served as executive director and production manager, respectively. They were not alone; five other Alpha Nus held positions on the advisory board. PHILANTHROPY AND VOLUNTEERING Philanthropy Chairman Eli Stahl '26 reported a fantastic year with events where Alpha Nus contributed to causes such as Folds of Honor, Bike MS, and more. We look forward to our annual Buckets for Luke event, where eight sororities compete and one is crowned champion. Through Buckets for Luke, we are bringing awareness to bone marrow donors and helping raise money for the Children's Hospital of Colorado, where Luke Karel '26 was treated for acute myeloid leukemia. Outside the house, Jacob Bisch '25 and Andrew Merkley '26 serve as Alpha Nu's representatives for the Days with Jays program founded by Nick Niemann '24. Volunteers spend time engaging with the youth of Lawrence, cultivating their social skills and growing into young adults. Charlie Goree '25 also serves as an executive board member for the volunteer organization Purple Pals, which aims to assist adults in the early stages of Alzheimer's. Alpha Nus are engaged in many more philanthropic and volunteering organizations on campus and in Lawrence. I am incredibly proud of these men and others who represent the chapter in such selfless ways. The same goes for my attitude toward our chapter this year; we continued tradition by sustaining and deepening our contributions to ourselves and the university. We look forward to the journeys and accomplishments ahead. Yours in _kai_, Henry Curnow '25 Chapter President F I N I S H I N G T H E Y E A R S T RO N G RECENT PHILANTHROPY AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS
