T he 2024 spring semester has been one of great growth and excellence for our undergraduate brothers. At the beginning of the semester, our executive board attended Carlson Leadership Academy in Oklahoma City. There, our team worked on planning our semester, setting goals, and collaborating with other chapters. We also won the Donald C. McCleary Member Development Award from National. We then held an incredibly successful recruitment, bringing in 22 members with diverse majors and experiences. We held VDBL day shortly after, starting with the run of knowledge and continuing throughout the day with discussions and reflections on our chapter values and how they align with our actions and lives. Around Valentine's Day, we held a successful large-scale philanthropy called SigEp Love-A-Thon to support Dance Marathon and the Children's Miracle Foundation and raised approximately $1,300. We have three members on the Dance Marathon board who continue to support the organization: Parker Orth '26, Adam Campbell '26, and Owen Harrison '26. In addition, we held a signature volleyball tournament philanthropy with Kappa Kappa Gamma called KKΓ x ΣΦΕ Courtside, which donated funds to the JED Foundation. At the Fraternity and Sorority Life awards ceremony, our chapter was represented very well, and we took home Excellence in Chapter Management, Excellence in External Relations, Chapter Advisor of the Year (won by Todd Donovan, OSU '86), Chapter President of the Year (won by Brendon Beaver '23), and Member of the Year (won by Aidan Hall '24). Our chapter was well-represented in both academics and athletics this semester. We ranked second in chapter GPA (3.24) and have multiple student athletes performing at high levels. Eli Smid '26, Aden Blake '26, and Danny Pepe '27 are all on the CSU soccer team; Jared Barton '27 represents us on the CSU hockey team; and Cole Johnson '24 is on the CSU rodeo team. Our intramural teams also continues to highlight our sound body and commitment to SigEp brotherly love by having soccer, basketball team, and indoor football teams that perform at high levels. Finally, our graduating senior class is significant in size and influence, highlighting our improvement in member retention, and they will be very much missed as they continue their careers in the professional world. Fraternally, Parker Orth '26 Chapter President A B R O T H E R H O O D O F E X C E L L E N C E Brothers getting ready for our first spring recruitment event at 121 E. Lake Street.
