The transformation of the second-floor bathroom from a single bathroom setup to a spacious layout with three stalls, three sinks, three showers, and heated flooring was completed in February 2024. 4 OUR VISION FOR OUR VISION FOR GAMMA CHI GAMMA CHI While the Sigma Nu experience is certainly more than the bricks and mortar of 1616 NE 47th, our home undoubtedly plays a significant role in the development of our brothers and the foundation of our shared values and goals. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, and by working with architect Burgess Design, Gamma Chi Chapter alumni and undergraduate leadership have developed a strategic approach. RECENT FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS The generous gift from Gordy Richards '54 and his wife, Carol, has allowed us to make $1.9 million of facility improvements since 2020, including: • A new kitchen ($500,000) • New windows, doors, floors, and exterior structure repairs to the brick ($1 million) • Second-floor bathroom renovation and the addition of two Pilot study rooms on Level 1 ($400,000) With these necessary projects completed, we're able to plan for our future and prioritize improvements that will provide upgraded living space and modern technology to support the academic pursuits of our undergraduate members.
