At our Foodbank, we gratefully accept donations of non-perish- able food items, clothing, vehicles, and monetary contributions. We can also fi nd a home for appliances but have no place to store them, so please call ahead so we can make ar- rangements. These donations help us support individuals and fami- lies in need within our community. However, at this time, we regret to inform you that we do not accept used furniture. Your generosity is deeply appreciated, and together, we can make a meaningful differ- ence in the lives of those facing food insecurity. Thank you for your sup- port and understanding. February was a busy month for fundraisers for the food bank. They are much needed to keep our pri- vate nonprofi t going. • The Gold Star RV Park (Photo- Above) had a fundraiser for the food bank where they raised over 1000 pounds of groceries and a generous donation! • The Grand Design Rally volun- teers (Photo above right) came to the food bank this month to help with cleaning and organizing, brought over 1200 pounds of groceries, and, at their Rally, gave a generous do- nation! • The VFW Post 2357 donated anoth- er 1000+ pounds of food this month! • The Meet in Q RV Group continues to donate funds to the food bank! The Lit Cactus RV Group came to the food bank and donated generously! • The Alfa Roadrunners RV Group gave the food bank a generous do- nation! Thank you all so much for choos- ing the food bank to donate and support! We had many private in- dividuals and local organizations make donations this month. Thank you for considering us when picking who to donate to! Your donations make a big difference. We are a privately owned nonprofi t and must raise all the funds we need to operate. When donating to FQFB, you have helped to build and nur- ture this community through the challenging times people have had. If you cannot donate money to us right now, did you know you can gift the food bank a car or RV? You can also leave the food bank a gift of money, real estate, or other items in your will, a Benefi ciary Deed, or even designate retirement IRA ac- counts or stock investments to the Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank. Or simply leave FQFB as your ben- efi ciary on your bank account. You can also have a Legacy Page on our website QuartzsiteFoodBank.com. Do you work and owe AZ Taxes? You can donate that money to the food bank instead of paying the state with the AZ Tax Credit. That is not a tax write-off but a credit on Food Bank updates your actual AZ taxes that you owe up to $841 of your AZ taxes that you do not have to pay. Dollar for dol- lar, your donations go to us, and it is still an IRS write-off. Duce Minor, our county supervi- sor, voted for the Quartzsite Food Bank to have a new 5-year contract with La Paz County for the food bank and Carol's Closet buildings instead of the 1-year contracts we have had in the past. Remember to pick up your govern- ment TEFAP & Senior boxes at the Western College 695 Kofa - 1st and 4th Mondays in February 8 am to 10. Watch for changes in their days and times on Facebook at Yuma Community Food Bank. The Quartzsite Transit bus service has free rides to the food bank. Just call them at 928-927-4333 for de- tails. Thank you for taking the time to read this. For more info or to donate, go to QuartzsiteFoodBank.com Or Mail a check and make it out to: FQFB, PO Box 4051, Quartzsite, AZ 85359. Food Bank Hours: Tues & Thur 8- noon at 40 N Moon Mountain. A picture ID, like a driver's license, is needed to sign up. Thank You from FQFB and all our hard-working volunteers. Come join our "Rebels With A Cause" volunteers at the food bank! To volunteer, show up 1 hour be- fore opening Tuesday or Thursday and come in through the back gate. For more info, call 928-662-7000.
