NOT ... Just Keep on Going! Desert Messenger News WILL continue printing monthly Back in August, 2023 Desert Mes- senger News Publisher/Editor Sha- nana Rain Golden-Bear announced she would be retiring the print edition due to rising costs and the completion of fourth four-year com- mittement. She said, "I'm excited to share the past 20 years of Quartzsite history from the eyes of a small town publisher. I am open to possibilities and look forward to what the uni- verse has in store for me!" Well, it looks like the Universe (and a lot of readers, advertisers and just plain ol' good folks around town) said, "Please, not yet, Rain!" So Des- ert Messenger News will continue printing on the third Wednesday of each month. Golden-Bear said, "I appreciate the outpouring of love and support over the past few months. In our tradi- tion, when there is a life change we do a give-away. So I ordered these "Embrace Hope" decals as part of my giveaway." They come in two sizes; 2.5" and 3". If you'd like one, send an email to desertmessenger7@yahoo.com and she will get them to you. Golden-Bear said plans are in the works for readers to be able to access all 20 years of past editions online later this summer at www.Desert- Messenger.com. Be sure to check out the online editions for expanded edi- tions of 20 years of Quartzsite Histo- ry! Keep up to date by LIKING Desert Messenger News Facebook page.
