Legion of Honor: Knights: Rock Club: Due to the generous support of our alumni and friends, the Re-Colonization Fund now stands at $34,965. Many thanks to all for their continuing support. A lifetime achievement award from the Delta Delta alumni was presented. In addition, the High Council of Sigma Nu passed a resolution as follows: Whereas, Brother Edwin Rollin Sidwell was initiated as a Knight of The Legion of Honor in 1967 as Delta Delta Chapter initiate number 879; and, Whereas, Brother Sidwell has been a dedicated member of Sigma Nu Fraternity for 56 years; and, Whereas, Brother Sidwell has rendered extraordinary service to Delta Delta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity as President and subsequently Vice President of the Delta Delta House Corporation, Capital Campaign Board member, Alumni Advisory Board member, and Collegiate Chapter Advisor; and, Whereas, Brother Sidwell, since the re-construction of the Delta Delta Chapter House after a devastating fire in 1966, has taken it upon himself to oversee numerous renovations of the chapter home, support chapter member well-being, and establish harmony within the local interfraternal community; and, Whereas, Brother Sidwell has unselfishly served for many years as a director of the local Fraternity Purchasing Association (later becoming the Nittany Cooperative, Inc.) and secretary of the local Lion Fraternity Alumni Association; and Whereas, Brother Sidwell was selected as Sigma Nu House Corporation Officer of the Year in 2008; and Whereas, Brother Sidwell has exemplified the mission of Sigma Nu Fraternity to develop ethical leaders and the Creed of Sigma Nu Fraternity to serve in the Light of Truth; now, therefore, Be It Resolved, that in honor of his remarkable service to Sigma Nu Fraternity and the Delta Delta Chapter, and for his exceptional leadership and lifelong commitment to the principles of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Love, Honor, and Truth, the High Council of Sigma Nu Fraternity does hereby recognize, commend, and express its enduring gratitude and best wishes to Brother Edwin Rollin Sidwell.
