Page 2 the sophon Chapter Eternal W e mourn the loss of our brothers who have now entered the Chapter Eternal, and we extend our deepest sympathies to their families and friends. May the memories of our loyal comrades remain in our hearts and minds forever. Live Ever. Die Never. Robert Zimmermann '49 February 16, 2022 Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Robert joined his family business as a manufacturer representative in the U.S. automotive industry. Robert loved life with his wife, Betty, and he always enjoyed family time and outdoor activities like hunting, skeet, trap, and golf. Philip Johnson Jr. '57 May 24, 2022 Eric Biegansky '88 August 3, 2023 Surrounded by friends and family, Eric peacefully passed after a long battle with a digestive tract cancer called GIST (gastrointestinal stromal tumors). After graduating in 1992, Eric went on to earn an MBA from Michigan State University. Throughout his life, Eric remained a pessimistic yet diehard Michigan Football fan. Andrew Todd '15 November 2022 A paddle out was held for Andrew on December 17, 2022, honoring him in his hometown of Manhattan Beach. Brothers, friends, and family will remember Andrew as a great athlete and water polo player. He was a fierce competitor while remaining a kind, funny, smart, and ambitious man. Andrew remained committed to becoming a better person. He was a graduate of Ross Business School with a minor in computer science. The morning after Andrew's passing, a rainbow appeared directly over the water outside Dome's Beach where he had surfed one last time. It was the talk of the little surf community at Rincon. What Brotherhood Means to Us Prior to the chapter's suspension, our undergraduate members made memories to commemorate their Phi Psi experience and learn the meaning of Michigan Alpha brotherhood. From left: Jonny Hartle, Sean Timmis, Thomas Fouts, Gianni Dalimonte, and Justin Maccagnone (all '22s) enjoy formal weekend together in Nashville, Tennessee. Senior and sophomore members gather before competing in Winterfest.
