Welcome, New Members 3 Marilyn Albritton Simpson '48 was initiated into Sigma Kappa the year Beta Sigma became a chapter in 1947. She was president of the chapter her senior year. She enjoyed special friendships with girls who lived on farms, as that was a brand-new experience for her. Marilyn's husband passed away four years ago, and she spends her time visiting her daughter in Jeffersonville, IN, and her son in Kenansville, NC. At age 94, she feels blessed to still live at home. "I just can't do much yard work anymore!" Ruth Tanner Isaks '57 is a retired professor emeritus. Outside of chemistry, her principle interest is the conservation of natural resources for wildlife near her home in Salem, NH. Email: jachaney461@aol.com Candace Vergin Sinclair '69 is enjoying retirement after eight years of teaching, eight years of small business ownership, and over 20 years of mental health counseling. Her husband, two daughters, and granddaughter travel together, and she has taken up quilting and mahjong. She helps present racial healing programs, volunteers with a political party, and gardens in her hometown of Cary, IL. "I am 75 years young!" Kimberly resides in Indianapolis, IN. Terri Ottenbacher Hage '77 retired in 2019, and her husband, George, retired in 2020. They enjoy traveling, both domestic and overseas, and spend as much time as possible with their family. "I have taken up quilting in addition to my other hobbies and am involved in several volunteer organizations in Kansas City, such as KC for Refugees, and I'm a leader of the Eco Team at our church," she says.
