HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE Well, the holidays are over, we can breath a sigh of relief and start on those resolutions. For me, I'll going to learn to say "No" more, and then there's the usual losing of weight business. Keep your fi ngers crossed for me. EVENTS Two events to look for- ward to. First is the Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, January 13th, 9am to 2pm. This event will be held at the clubhouse at 66918 Avenue C, Salome, right behind the Fire Sta- tion. There is extra parking behind the clubhouse. Members are accept- ing donations now for this project. Second is our 3rd Annual Bake Sale which will be held on Wednes- day, January 24th. The location for this event is in the parking lot of the NuVu Beauty Salon. Pam Brady has generously allowed the Club to use this space on the same day as other vendors. The High School culinary department will again be donating treats for public enjoyment. NEW MEMBER Welcome to our newest member, Charlotte Van Neirop. Charlotte comes to us from Lake Havasu City, AZ where she was a member of the London Bridge Women's Club until it closed down. Charlotte has many years of experi- ence with GFWC that include stints as president of GFWC-AZ London Bridge Women's Club and also as president of GFWC Southwestern District. This brings our member- ship to 34. DECEMBER SOCIAL Our De- cember social was doubly special for members. On Monday, Decem- ber 18th, members celebrated the holidays dining on a delicious pot- luck while in the company of that famous gentleman fromthe North Pole: SANTA (TomGresbach) and Mrs. CLAUS (Pat Pisarski)! Follow- ing lunch, members were treated to the Class of 2036. There was seven adorable kindergarten kids, es- corted by their teachers, who sang and danced bringing in the holiday spirit to a full house of ladies. The kids were so much fun. Having the kindergarten kids is an annual oc- casion members enjoy.
