ur very own Ty Hall '25 has won a full-ride scholarship from the National
Science Foundation CyberCorps for cybersecurity!
Ty has worked diligently on achieving this prestigious grant. Out of 100 qualified
applicants, Ty managed to edge most out to reach the top 10. Those 10 interviewed for
the five scholarship positions, and Ty was among the five selected.
Along with the scholarship, Ty will also have the opportunity to participate in cutting-
edge research, regional and national cybersecurity competitions, and assistance in
finding internships and job opportunities within the federal government.
Security is more critical than ever, and Ty earned his way to challenging not
only theoretical advances and technical difficulties, but also more importantly,
continuous production of well-trained cybersecurity professionals. The University
of Kansas holds a long-term commitment to cybersecurity education, and Ty Hall
will continue that commitment.
We congratulate and honor Brother Hall for this amazing achievement. The hard
work that he has put in for this has paid off. We hope for the best in Ty's journey of
cybersecurity. As always, press on, Ty Hall!
