Don and Lois Moore bought the store in 1972, and is has been operated by their family ever since--40 years!! Don and Lois retired in 1999, and the store has been run by their daugh- ter Sherrie and her husband Rick, along with their son Nick (and some- times other family members helped out) ever since. Don and Lois came out of retirement this fall and are back working at the store again as well as Sherrie, Rick and Nick and staff. The General Store has been a won- derful business for this community, and the past 40 years the Moores and Garlows have been running it show their commitment to this town, even though they live in Parker. The store is open 7 days a week, now on winter hours 8 am to 7 p.m. every day.
