PSI SOONERS GAMMA PHI BETA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA • FALL 2023 THE NEW ALUMNAE TAILGATE This year, Psi AHC linked arms with alumnae planners to create an official Gamma Phi Beta Alumnae Tailgate! It saw huge success, and we all look forward to seeing it grow in the coming years. A big special thanks to Don and Margaret West Pape '64 for their financial generosity and Stefanie Brickman '89 for getting this idea off the ground. What an inaugural year! We welcome all alumnae to visit next fall during a home game. Look for more information regarding location on the Psi Chapter Facebook Page closer to next football season. This initiative is truly a great next step for engaging in the community and building name recognition as we enter the SEC! AHC IMPROVEMENTS Our AHC continues to work hard to make the chapter facility not only gorgeous but also a safe and exciting place to be. This year, they updated the security system, added outdoor furniture, and continued to make internal improvements to the AC units, generators, and Wi-Fi. AHC even helped the women by hosting a Chili Cook-Off with United Way of Norman. Thank you, AHC! WANT TO GET INVOLVED? The Psi advisory board gained some new faces and aided the women in projects across all departments. It's such a testament to our sisterhood to have such engaged and dedicated alumnae women who are motivated to improve the chapter year after year. In IIKE, Alumnae Board Creating the Best Sooners Experience for Our Sisters J O I N O U R F U N D R A I S I N G C A M PA I G N S tarting with Homecoming 2022, the Psi Sooners Sustainers began presenting a signature initiative—a tailgate for Sooner home football games. After three successful events in 2022 to close out the season, the Psi Sooners began a fundraising campaign in late summer to kick off the 2023 season and move into the front row and top-notch package through RevelUp XP, the athletics department's partner. Under the dedicated direction of Sheryl Judkins Thompson '78, game hosts this season have included Pat and Jan Foster Shore '77, Julie Cundith Robinson '78, Susan Stone Field '75, Margaret West Pape '64, Robin Hollingsead Allen '96, Taylor Trzcinski Welsh '18, Denise Stubbs Buthion '76, and Sheryl Judkins Thompson '78, along with sisterly assistance provided by Shannon Kent '19, Rachel Trzcinski Hallum '89, and Tracy Schlecht Kennedy '89.
