I am happy to provide some updates on all the amazing things our chapter has been doing lately! Academic Success In spring 2023, our chapter earned a 3.4 GPA, which was higher than the undergraduate GPA of 3.3. On November 8, we held our second annual career fair at the Chapter House, which we have found to be a great networking opportunity and has helped our members be more successful during their collegiate days. Additionally, we had four members accepted into the Sinclair School of Nursing at Mizzou: Carly Lindgren '22, Elsa Wollet '22, Kayla Gibson '22, and Shelby Renner '22. We are so proud of them for being accepted into such a prestigious program! Making a Difference So far this semester, we hosted our annual Triple Play softball tournament to raise money for St. Jude. We had several fraternities involved in the tournament, and we raised $5,000 as a result! Phi Delta Theta was our winner for the second year in a row. Additionally, we participated in the sixth annual "Lizzy's Walk of Faith" 5K! This foundation honors the Wamplers, a local family that lost their daughter, Lizzy, to cancer. Lizzy was a patient at St. Jude, so Tri Delta has become very involved with their philanthropic efforts. This year, we recieved the "biggest team" award from the race. Growing the Sisterhood We had a very successful formal recruitment and welcomed 72 wonderful new members into the chapter this August. We are also proud to say that 100% of them were initiated. Our recruitment efforts were led by Vice President of Membership Experience Anna Long '21, Director of Recruitment Events Kennedy Oliver '21, and Director of Member Selection Lexi Fender '20. Our Bid Day theme was "Exit 901," a Route 66 and western theme. Getting Involved With Mizzou football in full swing, our members have had a lot of fun attending games and celebrating our wins. We held Dad's Weekend from October 6-8 and had the best time cheering on the Tigers with our dads. As I write this, Homecoming just concluded! This year, we were paired with Phi Delta Theta. The overall theme was children's stories, and our subtheme was Arthur. The men of Phi Delt have been amazing to work with and I am happy to announce our standings in the following categories: • Second in blood donations • Fourth in campus decorations • Fifth in talent • Third in service • Best Actress: Francine (Kiki Welsh '22) We are so proud of our members' hard work in the last several weeks!
