I-10 construction updates The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for daily restrictions along Interstate 10 in Quartzsite area. Drivers should expect delays and allow for extra travel time. Driv- ers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffi c con- trol devices and use caution around construction personnel. Starting November 12, ADOT plans for overnight lane restrictions on I-10 in Quartzsite to be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sundays through Fridays. This will be in effect until Friday, Dec. 15. Contractors are scheduled to mill and pave the road as part of the I- 10 Dome Rock Road to Scaddan Wash Pavement Rehabilitation Project. The restrictions include: - Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between Dome Rock Road (milepost 12) and Central Boule- vard (milepost 19). A 14-foot vehi- cle width restriction will be in place. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph. ADOT is also advising of alternating lane restrictions along I-10 in the area of Vicksburg Road. These will start on Nov. 12 and run through mid-December. Contractors will be performing pavement work. The following restrictions will occur nightly: - East- and westbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane between mileposts 42 and 52 beginning 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, and end at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21. Work will resume again at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, and end at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12. Crews are scheduled to work Sun- days through Thursdays. - A 14-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. - The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
