Disagreeing with her mother's (Sarandon) views on utilizing the alien artifacts as weaponry, Jenny secretly steals the scarab and places it under Jamie's protection. Un- aware of its origins, Jamie touches the scarab encased in an armored exoskeleton, marking him as the "Blue Bee- tle."
