Fulfilling Our Wish List T H A N K Y O U F O R Y O U R G E N E R O S I T Y ! C ongratulations to the 1980s decade for reaching their Decade Challenge goal first! Thanks to the generosity of our alumnae, we have been able to order all the items on the Chapter's wish list. During Work Week, the bench and the bronze plaque were installed just in time for recruitment. It has been fun seeing photos and videos of women using the bench. On Sunday, August 6, during Work Week, the House Corporation Board hosted a welcome back celebration dinner for our active members. It was heartwarming to see and hear the members' excitement about being back at 1516 McCain Lane. When we announced we were able to purchase all our wish list items, the undergraduates were extremely grateful and erupted in applause. And Ready to Take on a New Year of Memories T he girls have moved in, and they made it just in time for recruitment! It is a beautiful site to see our house being used again and sisters making more lifetime memories. Remember where we were in June 2022? The last 15 months have shown just how strong our Kappa Alpha Chapter of sisterhood is and will continue to be. THE CARDINAL AND THE STRAW Kappa Alpha Chapter • Chi Omega Fall 2023 The piano sadly got damaged through everything that happened, but luckily the House Corp found a beautiful used one for a good deal! Our beautiful new chandelier was purchased from Rensen House of Lights in Lenexa, Kansas, with the help of our Kappa Alpha sister who works there, Susie (Burns) Wiglesworth '76, along with members of the House Corp!
