The Future of Theta Omega Tri Delta Announces $1 Million Capital Campaign for New House SUMMER 2023 INSIDE: Thank you, Early Donors p. 2 • Alumna Spotlight p. 2 • Spring Send-Off p. 3 THETA OMEGA | KANSAS S tudent housing in Lawrence has seen rapid changes in recent years— especially among KU's fraternities and sororities. Our chapter house at 1630 Oxford has served as a wonderful home for generations of sisters, but it's hard to ignore the fact that our facility is falling behind. The aging chapter house is unable to meet the needs of our current and future members. With a lack of competitive amenities, lack of gathering space for the current membership, and outdated HVAC and electrical, a new facility is the answer. We must act now so Theta Omega can keep shaping women with intellect and integrity at KU for decades to come! Sister, we need your help more than ever. For many of you, Tri Delta played a formative role in your lives. By supporting Our Home, Our Future – The Campaign for Theta Omega, you can ensure that Tri Delta continues to provide a similar experience for undergraduates today and in the future. This project will boost our curb appeal and quality of life on campus in many ways. Here are just a few of the features and amenities we look forward to achieving with this campaign: • Dining room large enough to accommodate the whole chapter • Pod-style restrooms • Zen spaces for study and quiet times • On-floor laundry rooms • Modern, competitive, and cohesive floor plan We have begun construction on our new Tri Delta home, and we expect it will be ready to welcome our sisters by recruitment season in 2024. We know this may sound daunting, but Tri Delta Foundation, the campaign board, and the undergraduate chapter have worked diligently for over a year; we are more than ready for this challenge. Early commitments totaling $591,365 from 52 generous donors have kick-started the race to our $1 million campaign goal. It will take support from every sister to get us across the finish line. As you receive more details about the campaign over the next few weeks, I encourage you to reflect on why you joined Tri Delta. Each of us committed to a lifetime membership during initiation, seeking a perpetual bond of friendship far beyond those four formative years. Now it's on us to ensure Theta Omega membership still benefits undergraduates and alumnae alike. Here's to the next chapter in Theta Omega's future—I hope you'll join us in writing it! Loyally, Dana Hale Nelson '73 Campaign Chairman Our Home, Our Future The Campaign for Theta Omega
