MURAL HISTORY
The murals all around town
are the creations of the Punta
Gorda Historic Mural Society,
a nonprofi t, started 27 years
ago as part of a city-wide revi-
talization project. Each mural
presents a slice of the area's
rich history.
There are currently over 30
murals in all and can be found
by using the free Walking/
Biking Guides available at the
Punta Gorda Chamber. Get a
brief history lesson by simply
scanning the QR Code sign on
each mural wall.
History classes are offered
throughout the year and
guided tours are offered in
season. Check out the web-
