THE ORACLE A L P H A - O M I C RO N Z E TA O F L A M B DA C H I A L P H A AT I N D I A N A U N I V E R S I T Y / FA L L 2 0 2 3 T he Alumni Advisory Board congratulates our undergraduates on an outstanding 2022- 23 school year; they surpassed all expectations. Not only did they excel academically in the fall, but they also bested that performance with an impressive GPA of 3.46 in the spring! After a successful renovation, we are thrilled to welcome them back to our beloved chapter house at 1210 E. 3rd Street this August. FIND US ONLINE We have launched a new website, lxaiu.com. It was designed to be aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices. The website will serve as a source for accurate and up-to-date information, a calendar of upcoming events, and methods for connection and communication. We also pay tribute to the AO brothers who have played a pivotal role in our growth. Do you have pictures you want to include or thoughts you'd like to share? Send them to us at aoalumniboard@gmail.com and stay tuned for phase two of the website—coming soon! WELCOME, NEW BOARD MEMBERS We are excited to announce that our AAB is growing and proudly introduce our newest alumni board members, Emily Elswick '96, Gamma Phi Beta, and Andrew Schmidt '13. Emily brings a wealth of knowledge about IU, having been an active member and officer in her sorority and Panhellenic while earning a bachelor's degree in Journalism. Emily's professional accomplishments are nothing short of impressive. In her current role as a VP at Medtronic Inc., she serves as a strategic advisor in the office of the CEO. She has held various leadership roles at Medtronic and Covidien in the past. Emily and her husband, Jason, also an IU graduate of 1996, are the proud parents of three children; the eldest is a Pi Beta Phi at Butler University. Emily understands the impact and challenges faced by today's undergraduates and knows the important qualities needed to shape tomorrow's leaders while also keeping an eye on our rich history. As a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha, Andrew has seen firsthand the incredible impact this fraternity can have on its members. From his own remarkable transformation during his time at the university to his current role as supply chain consultant for Protiviti to living in Denver with his wife whom he met through LXA, Andrew knows what it's like to reap the life-changing benefits that come from joining an organization like ours. As a previous risk manager and executive member at large, he fully understands those benefits—and he'll be working hard to make sure our potential members get equally powerful experiences! Please join us in welcoming Emily and Andrew to our impressive group! In ZAX, Jason Williams '97 aoalumniboard@gmail.com J oin us for our Homecoming festivities on Saturday, October 21!
