Transfer Station Hours Dear Quartzsite/Ehrenberg Community members; My name is Brad Pico and I am truly humbled by the opportunity to serve as your new school superintendent. The district is truly a "Gem" in La Paz county and the state of Arizona. I hope to inspire students and staff to continue to shine brightly with success. I thank the School Board for acknowledging and trusting my longtime experience as an edu- cator and school leader. It is an honor to have been chosen for this most important post. I em- brace the history of the many rich traditions held within the community. I will accept the respon- sibilities of the offi ce and perform the duties to the best of my abilities. I am eager to work with the Governing Board, staff, parents, and community, toward optimiz- ing QSD student's academic, artistic, and inter- personal skills. It has been a wonderful head start for me in re- gard to meeting some wonderful people in both Ehrenberg and Quartzsite. Folks have been ac- commodating and friendly, always willing to help me with all my questions. Thank you to those I have met and who greeted me with the warm friendliness that I have heard so much about in both communities. I look forward to learning more about what makes this district special and the unique tal- ents, traits, and strengths of our students and employees. I am anxious to explore both com- munities and engage with as many stakeholders as possible with an open mind and a pledge to develop positive relationships to move us for- ward together. We are working diligently to prepare for the safe return of all students in a few weeks! We want to strengthen academic, emotional, and social competencies in our students. Our teachers will connect with our students to provide both social and emotional support along with Best Practices in instruction. We believe all students can learn and that it is our job to provide a friendly, free, and safe environment for our students. We want to be the best school in La Paz County! Thank you again for this opportunity to serve as your local LEA superintendent. I envision a jour- ney ahead with collaboration and communication; built on trust and transparency between myself, In- structional staff, and all stakeholders in the QSD. Respectfully, Mr. Brad Pico, QES Superintendent of Schools New QES Superintendent hired
