House Updates Inside AUGUST 26 – GOLF TOURNAMENT T he Ben Runkle Golf Tournament will be held at Iron Horse Golf Club in Leawood, Kansas, on August 26. It will have a shotgun start at 9 a.m. and cost $200 per alumnus, or $150 for alumni 25 years and younger. If you're not a golfer, you can still participate by purchasing a social pass for $75, which provides you with a cart to visit groups on the course, access to food and drinks, and attendance to the post-round banquet. SEPTEMBER 23 – FOOTBALL TAILGATE House Corporation is sponsoring a tent on The Hill at the KU vs. BYU football game on Saturday, September 23. The tent will be located below the Campanile and will open at least 60 minutes prior to kickoff. Food and drinks will be available. Although attendance is free for Alpha Xi alumni, we ask that you RSVP no later than September 18 by scanning the QR code to visit tinyurl.com/ tentonthehillrsvp so that we can make certain we order enough. Fraternities empower students and provide a strong support system. Members are more academically engaged than their peers. 83% of members say their confidence in their leadership skills increased because of their membership. When members seek help, they are twice as likely to turn to a brother than anyone else.
