Hosts Kevin and Franklin Jonas task these hopefuls with challenges and com- petitions, but in the meantime, they must try and deduce who is related to whom in order to keep a spot in the game during this new episode of "Claim to Fame," airing Monday, June 3, on ABC. He had that great run of Hugh Grant rom-coms. A: It seems he may be in search of a new muse. From 2002 until 2019, Marc Lawrence had directed a total of four movies, all romantic comedies starring Hugh Grant. It was a hugely successful run that started with "Two Weeks Notice" (2002), followed by "Music and Lyrics" (2007), "Did You Hear About the Morgans?" (2009), and then "The Rewrite" (2014). Combined they earned more than $400 million worldwide — that's a lot for rom-coms. But rather than continue with his good-luck charm Grant, in 2019 Lawrence turned to two new stars. His film "Noelle" starred Anna Kendrick ("Pitch Perfect," 2012) and Bill Hader ("Saturday Night Live") as the children of Santa Claus, who are asked to take over the family business when the man in red retires. It was just as lightly comedic as Lawrence's other films, but with less romance — it focused on family dynamics instead. Four years have passed since then without a follow-up, which could seem like a lot for another director. But with as much as five years passing between his films in the past, his next one isn't technically overdue yet. So it remains to be seen if Kendrick or Hader will fill the gap in Lawrence's brain that Grant has apparently left open.
