"is is the tenth year for Appel
Farms and receiving this honor this
year is a really good feeling for us,"
Ashley said. "We have worked really
hard at providing high-quality produce
and we've also worked really hard
at building relationships with our
customers. We want our customers
and our community to love our
farm and love our products, and this
honor really makes us feel like we are
accomplishing that goal."
"We love that our kids are involved,
and we try our best at teaching
them about all we do and so for
our three boys to also receive this
acknowledgement is a really big deal
for our family," Ashley continued.
"I am so proud, especially for my
husband, Travis. He has worked so
hard at building the farm and he really
cares about what he produces.
"He was in the Marine Corps for
eight years and went on multiple
deployments. e last four years in
service he was in 1st Recon, so he was
gone all of the time and it was very
demanding. For him to do all of that
and then come back to Arkansas and
create this farm for our family and
our community … it just makes me so
proud! His discipline, dedication, work
ethic and passion for what he does is so
encouraging and such a good example
for our boys."
