From shopping to dining to entertainment, Fayetteville has a lot to offer. Spend a weekend catching up with friends at a locally owned restaurant. Catch a movie at a downtown theater. Explore hiking trails and parks with family. Fayetteville is home to Fort Liberty, the largest Army installation in the country. You'll find active-duty personnel settling into neighborhoods along with military retirees who decided to stay when their service was completed. Ours is an international city — a melting pot, if you will — because of the number of people from all over the world who settle here. But it's also a close-knit community filled with friendly and caring people. They rally behind those troops, and their families, when they are called to duty. They help organizations with fundraising and offer a hand in times of need. The lists here are not all-inclusive, but they are a good way to start exploring Fayetteville and the surrounding area.
