Cleaning up litter at school is a
good thing. Recycling that trash
is even better. And, better yet is
reducing how much trash gets to
school in the first place. Are there
containers in your lunchbox that
can be cleaned and reused? Talk
about this with your parents. How
can you have less waste in your
lunchbox?
An effect is something that happens as as result
of the cause. For example, a boy bumps his
elbow against a cup of water (cause) and the
water spills all over the table (effect).
Circle each cause in red and each effect in blue.
If the Pilgrims had used aluminum
cans at the first Thanksgiving, those
cans would still be around today.
An important way to reduce trash
in landfills is to recycle it! Contact
your local waste management
company to find out what you can recycle.
This symbol on a product's
packaging tells you that it can
be recycled. Also, try to buy
products that say "Made
from Recycled Materials" on
the packaging.
ANSWER: Because they are
always down in the dumps.
