DELTA DISPATCH 3 DEEP CLEANING OUR HOME Under the supervision of our new house manager, Jacob Stocco '25, the semester once again started with a deep cleaning of the house. The old doors, having seen more than their fair share of wear and tear over the years, are in the process of being repaired or replaced. The back doors were the worst offenders and, as such, have had their emergency bars, linings, and locks all updated. Any alumni who may have taken a back door key with them as a souvenir may need to come back and ask for a new one. BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS ON CAMPUS The house has hosted AOE, PSR, and Phi Mu at social events this semester, which allowed us to continue developing our relationships with each group of sisters. In addition to joint events with other organizations, the house has also hosted some classic favorites, including Blacklight and Room Parties. Both went incredibly well thanks to Vice Chief Engineer Hrishi Kini '25 and Social Chairmen Alex Galik '23 and Owen Shin '23. Our pledges this semester also worked with the candidates of AOE to raise a total of $513 for the Eastern Illinois Food Bank over the course of a week. STRENGTHENING OUR FUTURES The future is looking bright! We have a chapter GPA of 3.36, which is not only higher than both the IFC average and the undergraduate GPA but also places us 12th among all fraternities on campus. Not bad for the engineering house! Many brothers have also been accepting both internships and full-time offers at companies such as Amazon, Northrop Grumman, Caterpillar, Ford, SBL, Procter & Gamble, and GE. We wish all our graduating seniors the best of luck in a world without Kam's. FOCUSING ON RECRUITMENT This semester, the executive board has been preparing for the coming year. We have a graduating class of 22 seniors, which represents almost 40% of the active chapter. We had a phenomenal year for recruitment, initiating 18 new members, but unfortunately, we will be taking a hit to our numbers for the second year in a row. Thankfully, this is a smaller decrease than the spring of 2022, and with the influx of newly initiated brothers (currently 30% of the chapter), we plan to recruit as many quality new members next year as possible. In time, we believe that as long as our strong recruitment momentum is maintained, Delta Chapter will not just recover but become stronger than ever!
