I
n the fall, the Chapter implemented a
competition for all Brothers living in the
house: the eight members with the highest
GPA from spring 2022 drafted Brothers with
the promise that the team with the highest
average at the end of the semester would win
a steak dinner provided by an anonymous
Graduate donor. It was a close race but,
ultimately, Holden Smith '25 and his team
won with a 3.4 GPA.
"This competition was important to the Chapter
because it encouraged us to strive toward a
high house GPA through friendly competition.
Everyone wants to play their part and support
the team, so it keeps everyone accountable. I
was glad my team pulled out the win to get that
steak dinner!" says Holden.
Thank you to the donor for making this possible!
It was a great challenge for a group of men who
are already competitive regarding academics.

Pig Dinner

i Deuteron will host its 2023 Frank
Norris Pig Dinner on Friday,
November 17, in Lawrence. This will be
the night before the KU vs. K-State football
game (a home game for the Jayhawks).
