Two decades later, in 2001, the General Assembly unanimously voted to designate the Day as a period of non-violence and cease-fi re. COMMUNITY CENTER UPDATE Normally, the Quartzsite Commu- nity Center operating hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am to (5:45pm for cleaning) 6:00pm unless there is a holiday or rental; however, there is a rental every Thursday until June 15th, 2023, so the Quartzsite Community Center will be closed on Thursdays until June 15th for the rental. On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, from 9:00am to 11:00am the Quartzsite Community Center has its Senior Day open to ages 18 and older, where we have activi- ties, such as rock painting, crafts, or game day. Except for the months of June and July; due to the Summer Program. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm the Quartzsite Community Center has a Paint Day open to ages 18 and old- er, where we paint. Except for the months of June and July, the time will change to 1:30pm to 3:30pm due to the Summer Program.
