Along the way, he has accumulated more than 35 years of management and leadership experience. Brian and his wife moved back to Arkansas in 2020 to start inspecting homes full-time as A-List Inspection Services and be closer to their children. ey have made Bella Vista their new home. During their free time, Brian and his wife enjoy kayak touring, hiking and cycling, and have recently taken up pickleball. Brian also serves on the Bella Vista POA Recreational Joint Advisory Committee. Jennifer Scholfield, Secretary Jen Scholfield of Scholfield Wealth Management Inc. is serving as secretary of BVBA. Jen moved to Bella Vista last year in search of better bass fishing for her husband Max, as the reservoirs in southwest Colorado, where they had been living, are in danger of drying up. Max has been in wealth management for over 30 years and Jen was licensed in 2012. ey joined forces to establish their independent financial advisory practice in 2011, Scholfield Wealth Management, specializing in retirement income strategies and divorce financial consulting. Prior to her career change, Jen served more than 10 years as a business and leadership coach and organization development consultant, including work with the executive suite of a Fortune 500 company. In addition, she has 10-plus years of experience in business sales and marketing. Jen has lived in several countries and spent several years in Italy, Switzerland and Canada, where she attended foreign national schools and studied art and languages. She has served on several boards in both corporate paid and volunteer bases, and has managed several large-scale, community-based events, including leadership of three Twin Cities, Minn., suburb cities' participation in the Special Olympics. She has also developed and managed cross-cultural fundraising and promotional events. Jen has an undergraduate degree in international relations from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn., and an MBA in International Business and Global Marketing from underbird School of Global Management, now part of Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. Rhonda Yazel, Treasurer Rhonda Yazel of Bank OZK is serving as treasurer of BVBA. Rhonda grew up in Shawnee, Okla., and has had a long career in banking, accounting, investment advising and financial planning. Aer graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Rhonda moved to Greenwood with her husband and two children. During this time, she went back to school for a second degree, this time in accounting. She lived in Arkansas until 2012, when she and her husband, new empty nesters, moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., for her husband's job. His job then moved them to Texas and Wisconsin. Rhonda and her husband moved back to Bella Vista in May 2022. Rhonda's career began in the banking industry, where she worked for 12 years as a teller, new account representative, loan assistant and an assistant trust officer. She became a registered investment advisor, assisting clients with financial planning. She then spent three years working as a legal assistant. In 2000, she returned to school for her accounting degree and started working for a certified public accounting firm. For the next 10 years, she performed bookkeeping duties for small businesses, prepared tax returns and assisted a registered investment representative in his roles with American Express and Allstate. During her time in Texas and Wisconsin, she prepared tax returns and managed a tax preparation office. Currently, Rhonda serves as a manager for Bank OZK at the Sugar Creek location in Bella Vista. In their free time, she and her husband enjoy hiking, cycling, kayaking, traveling to new places and spending time with their nearby family in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. She is glad to be back home in Arkansas and looks forward to serving the community as treasurer. Becky Parmelee, Communications/Marketing Director Becky Parmelee of Parmelee Homestead Creations is serving as communications/marketing director of BVBA. She was raised in Ames, Iowa, on a small homestead, where her mom taught her about gardening, farming and hard work. She moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2014 for a career opportunity at Washington Regional Hospice in Fayetteville. She said that leaving the farm life was hard, but leaving the winters on the prairie was not. In 2015, Becky met her now- husband Mike, and together they have one son, James, who will likely be at a meeting or two before the year is over. In 2019, aer 17 years in healthcare, she took a break to have more time with her family. In 2021, due to career changes in the home, Becky started her own business selling jams, jellies, sauces and salsas. She also teaches canning lessons and has started her own greenhouse. Mike has a woodshop and together they manage a moderate-sized garden in Bella Vista. Her line of products, Parmelee Homestead Creations, can be found at 14 retail locations throughout Northwest Arkansas and at local farmers markets. She is a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club and Benton County Beekeepers, and a supporting member of Bella Vista Community Television. In her free time, she is studying to become a master gardener. Becky is always looking for practical solutions to life's challenges. She is a past winner of the Ames Chamber of Commerce 4 Under 40 Award and a graduate of the Leadership Ames Class XXII program. Her experience as a member of the Junior Chamber International has allowed her many opportunities to develop communication skills that will be helpful in her role with the BVBA.
