WHY WE JOINED
"I came to ATΩ not knowing a single person, as I was the only person from my high school
in recruitment. Everyone was so kind and welcoming to me at events, which made the
decision to join very easy. I have made so many new friends since joining, and I am very

Robert Buxton '42 – December 26, 2022
Alumni News
Gerald Luckey '64 is retired after practicing
family medicine in David City for 45 years.
He lives in Omaha, Neb., and spends winters
in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Bob Milligan '64 lives in Omaha, Neb. He
devotes most of his time to family, travel,
and serving on several boards, including the
University of Nebraska Foundation. Email:

Mike Schlatter '65 and his wife, Jackie,
are planning a journey to South Africa to
celebrate their 40th anniversary. "We're going
on a photo safari, visiting the wine country,
and taking a 12-day cruise up and down the
eastern coast." Their granddaughter, Nora
Elizabeth, was born on April 15, 2022. They
also have two grandsons, Owen and Dylan.
Mike and Jackie live in San Antonio, Texas.

Gary S. Westphal '67 lives in Papillion, Neb.,
and plays pickleball daily. He has a cabin at
Lake Maloney and travels south in the winter.
Gary still roots for the Huskers and hopes to
join a Gamma Theta tailgate this year! "Still
