SPRING 2023 The Squirrel's Nest P S I C H A P T E R O F A L P H A G A M M A D E L T A A T T H E U N I V E R S I T Y O F A L A B A M A A ll good things must come to an end, and after 13 years of serving as the editor of The Squirrel's Nest, it is time to pass the torch. When the House Association asked me to chair the capital campaign for our new house, one of the things our fundraising firm suggested was a newsletter to reach all our alumnae and keep us in touch with our sorority. The newsletter has shown us all how much our chapter has excelled and celebrated the successes of our many alumnae. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as I have enjoyed being a part of it. I'm leaving the newsletter in capable hands with graduating senior Hannah Hale '19 as the new editor. Hannah has an incredible résumé, which includes overseeing the largest Panhellenic conference in the country with over 7,500 members and 19 chapters. She has been active in SGA, University Stewards (who help with student recruitment), and Greek Unite. She was honored with selection to Blue Key, Order of Omega, Order of Alpha, Rho Lambda, Phi Eta Sigma, and Alpha Lambda Delta. A political science major, she has served as a Congressional intern and as a page to the 2020 Republican National Convention. (Read even more about Hannah's achievements in the article below.) It is with much excitement I transfer this job to Hannah. Loyally, Nancy Richeson Siniard '74 nsiniard@totalcommarketing.com H annah Hale '19 (Montgomery, Ala.), served on the Alabama Panhellenic Association Executive Council for the past two years, representing Psi and UA as the Panhellenic president this last year. Hannah started her journey with Panhellenic in the fall of 2020 after being selected to serve as the vice president of administration. During this role, she served as a liaison between the Panhellenic Executive Council and the chapter delegates as well as UA faculty, staff, and chapter advisors. Hannah facilitated community programming, planned and executed business luncheons and dinners for Greek leaders and chapter advisors, and facilitated conflict and crisis management amongst chapters, advisors, and students during the largest Panhellenic recruitment in the country with over 2,500 potential new members. Moving from VPA to president, Hannah maintained the same responsibilities at a heightened level. She served as the primary contact for all Panhellenic affairs at The University of Alabama. She developed and maintained relationships with campus and community stakeholders, upper-level campus administrators, alumnae, and advisors. Hannah continually provided guidance and support to chapters, including sharing best practices, consulting on risk management issues, self- governance, and holding chapters accountable for actions. Hannah represented Psi and the University seamlessly over her two terms on Panhellenic. We are so proud of her leadership, character, service, and dedication to the Greek community here at the Capstone. We celebrate Hannah's presidency and look forward to her accomplishments in the future!
