But don't worry: Only the name will change. e Army post will host one more fair with Bragg-ing rights. at's because Fort Bragg will become Fort Liberty on June 2, as mandated by the Department of Defense Naming Commission, which is implementing new names for military posts that have carried the names of Confederate icons. e fair itself will bring another fun-filled week and a half to the installation's fairgrounds from May 3 through May 14. e public is invited to join military families for carnival rides, games, entertainment, food and more. Gates open at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. From 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, the "customer appreciation" admission price is $11. Weekday admission aer 7 p.m. is $16, and weekend admission is $21. Children shorter than 3 feet will be admitted free of charge. Admission includes unlimited rides and entertainment. On Mother's Day, May 14, all moms will be admitted free with a paying child through age 17. Parking is free and accessible off Bragg Boulevard to non-Department of Defense cardholders, just outside the fairgrounds. DoD cardholders may park on the installation at Watson Street.
