page 2 Crescent Ne D elta Xi has had an incredible year, both in terms of grades and service at Mizzou as well as sharing our success with the rest of Tri Delta! This fall, we had a chapter GPA of 3.42, 29 members with 4.0, and 149 members on the Dean's list. We initiated 12 new members in February and feel so lucky to have even more amazing women in our chapter. On March 21, under the leadership of Taylor Brooks '20 and Allison Streb '19, we had our annual 24K in a Day event, where we aim to raise at least $24,000 in 24 hours for St. Jude. This year, we crushed our goal and raised $56,871! Delta Xi gives a special thank-you to the Wampler family, who donated $20,000 to the cause. The Wamplers lost their daughter, Lizzy, to osteosarcoma in 2018; our chapter was blessed to know Lizzy. Traveling with Tri Delta Our new executive board attended the Tri Delta Collegiate Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, from April 14-16, to develop our leadership skills and learn from other Tri Delta chapters. We were chosen to participate in "Delta Demo's" and share some of our ideas with other sisters! Specifically, we discussed our chapter's career fair: an opportunity for alumnae and other recruiters to speak with our members at the Chapter House. In addition to that conference, Taylor Roty '20 attended AFLV in Indianapolis in February. Taylor learned some great lessons in leadership development and shared her wisdom with us to educate the chapter. Spring Successes This spring, we teamed up with the men of Alpha Tau Omega for Greek Week! This year's theme is "Battle of the Bands," and our team represented The Grateful Dead. Our Greek Week activities this year supported the B+ Foundation, which raises money for pediatric cancer. We hosted Mom's Weekend in late April, showing gratitude for all our moms, mother figures, and alumnae! Our members have been part of some incredible things this year. Freshman Claire LeDuc '22 was chosen for Freshman 14 of Omicron Delta Kappa, a select group of freshmen who demonstrate excellence in extracurriculars, academics, and involvement. Sophomores Mary Grace Cantalin '21, Hannah Eckerman '21, and Erin Turkieltaub '21 were recently accepted into Sinclair School of Nursing. Finally, Senior Josie Woodward '19 was named Golden Girl of the Year! We are so incredibly proud of our members and all their accomplishments. The women of Delta Xi would like to thank you all so much for your continued support. I look forward to leading this chapter and connecting with you all!
