Department 5: Open to all Benton County 4-H, and FFA members. Pens will be assigned. Exhibitors and animals may be removed from non- assigned areas. Animals must be inspected before entering the Fairgrounds. General Rules: 1. Health Regulations: Animals will be inspected before being unloaded. Any dairy goat showing symptoms of disease, particularly fungus, ringworm, foot rot, sore mouth, pink eye, or open abscesses will not be allowed to show and must be removed from the Fairgrounds. All animals will be inspected InSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area. If any animals on the trailer are contagious the EnTIrE trailer will be sent home immediately! no covers or blankets on animals. 2. Exhibitors must comply with General Rules and Regulations. 3. All Jr. exhibitors must be an ACTIvE Benton County 4-H or FFA member (age 9-19) in Good Standing at the time of nomination/entry as well as time of the fair, by entering any projects in the Benton County Fair in Arkansas, you acknowledge that you have not and will not exhibit any projects (livestock, crafts, canned goods, etc.) in any county fair in this calendar year. 4. All Open exhibitors age (3 thru Adult) must be a resident of Benton County at the time of nomination/entry as well as time of the fair by entering any projects in the Benton County Fair in Arkansas, you acknowledge that you have not and will not exhibit any projects (livestock, crafts, canned goods, etc.) in any county fair in this calendar year. 5. Rules of American Dairy Goat Assoc. will apply in cases not covered by rules and regulations herein. 6. This show is open to all recognized breeds of dairy goats, Registered, Recorded Grade, and 4-H/FFA. 7. This is a Does only show, NO bucks will be allowed. 8. Registration papers must be furnished for animals six (6) months of age or older to be entered in the Registered or Recorded Grade sections. A stamped duplicate application will be allowed for animals less than six (6) months of age. Papers and tattoos will be checked. The exhibitor is that person named on the registration certificate 9. All registered goats entering the fairgrounds must be accompanied by a registration certificate (in exhibitor's name) with matching permanent identification. 10. 4H/FFA Registered and Recorded Grade Does will be eligible to sell in the Junior Livestock Sale providing they meet all other regulations of the fair. Commercial Dairy Does are not eligible. 4-H/FFA Commercial Dairy Goats must have USDA Ear Tags or Premise Tattoos 11. All breeds will be shown separately, and classes shown will apply to each breed. 12. All animals in group classes must have been entered in their individual classes. Animals in the 4-H/FFA group classes must come from the 4-H/FFA division. All breeds will show together in the group classes. 13. All classes entered must be entered online. This includes showmanship and all group classes. 14. The exhibitor is responsible for entering their animal with superintendent no later than 10 pm Monday. No changes or entries will be allowed after this time. 15. Animals must be disbudded or dehorned; large scurs will not be allowed. 16. All animals must be properly fitted for show and provided with a collar. All exhibitors must be neatly and properly dressed (preferably in white) while in the show ring. 17.
