GEnERAl RulES All exhibits will be governed by the Benton County Fair General Rules, unless otherwise stated. 1. Exhibitors must be a resident of Benton County or a member of a Benton County Extension Homemakers Club. 2. ENTRIES MUST REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGHOUT THE FAIR UNTIL RELEASED. 3. NO PREMIUM WILL BE PAID TO ANY EXHIBITOR REMOVING THEIR ITEM BEFORE RELEASE TIME. 4. Items MUST be registered online at https://bentonar.fairwire.com by Sept. 15. On site entries will be subject to a $2 fee. 5. EXHIBITORS MAY ENTER 2 ITEMS IN EACH CLASS IN CLOTHING, CREATIVE CRAFTS, HOUSEHOLD ARTS, FOOD PREPARATION, AND FOOD PRESERVATION. 6. ONLY ONE ITEM MAY BE ENTERED IN EACH CLASS IN THE QUILT DEPARTMENT. 7. All articles should be completed. Soiled articles will not be accepted. 8. ALL ARTICLES MUST HAVE BEEN COMPLETED WITH THE LAST 12 MONTHS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF QUILTS (see rules in the Quilt Dept.) 9. No article is eligible that has been entered previously in the Benton County Fair. 10. A special "Senior Citizen" category for exhibitors 80 and over is available in all classes for those desiring this designation and indicating it at entry. 11. Items entered by professionals will be accepted as an item for display only. 12. All exhibits will be graded A=(Blue Ribbon), B=(Red Ribbon), C=(White Ribbon) as determined by the judges except food preservation classes 114- 118. Some exhibits may be displayed with stickers for better viewing of the product. Exhibitors may receive the appropriate ribbon at check-out. 13. All Special Awards are subject to change. 14. Premiums will be paid in each class according to the grade given by the judges. 15. The exhibit building will be closed during judging. Judging will take place Monday, Sept. 25 16. Entries will be checked out on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Items not picked up at that time will be held at the fair office for one week after the fair. Fair superintendents and officials will not be responsible for any exhibits not picked up on Sunday. Items not picked up will be disposed of after one week. 17. No commercial product will be accepted. Exhibitors should check individual department rules for specific rules and classes pertaining to their exhibits.
