5. Each Jr Exhibitor is limited to two (2) commercial does. Each Cloverbud exhibitor is limited to one (1) commercial doe. 6. Does shown in the commercial doe show are noT eligible for the Breeding Doe Show. 7. Cloverbud and Junior Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Market Goats will not be eligible for the Commercial Doe Show. 8. No bucks or wethers in this show. meat Goat Section 3: Breeding Does 1. All meat goat general rules and General Livestock rules apply. 2. Registration: All does must have registration papers in the exhibitor's name for thirty (30) days prior to the show. 3. Identification: All official registry tattoos will be required on all animals. 4. Breeding Does will be shown by age in the following Classes: a) Jr. Does (0-12 months) at the time of the show. b) Yearling Does (12-24 months) at the time of the show. c) Senior Does (24+ months) at the time of the show. 5. Goats shown in the Market show or Commercial doe show are noT eligible for the Breeding Doe show. 6. If there are NOT three (3) does per class, classes will be combined. Cloverbud and Jr Shows are subject to be combined. meat Goat Section 4: kidded by Exhibitor 1. Goats must be selected at the time of online entry/nomination. 2. The exhibitor mUST have kIDDED and rAISED the animal on their own farm from birth. 3. There will be two (2) divisions: a) Cloverbud: Exhibitors 5-8 years of age. b) Jr & Sr.: Exhibitors 9-18 years of age. meat Goat Section 5: Showmanship 1. Goats used in the showmanship division must be owned by the exhibitor. 2. Goats must also be entered and shown in the Benton County Fair Goat Show. 3. There will be four (4) Divisions of Showmanship: a) Cloverbud: 5-8 years of age. b) Junior: 9-11 years of age. c) Intermediate: 12-13 years of age. d) Senior: 14 years of age and older. meat Goat Section 6: other Awards 1. A Herdsman award: there will be three (3) divisions/awards given. a) Cloverbud 5-8 years of age. b) Intermediate: 9-13 years of age. c) Senior: 14 years of age and older. 2. To Qualify for Herdsman Awards, Exhibitors will: a) Feed and Water animals daily. b) Clean Stall/Pen and immediate area surrounding. c) Have knowledge of your animals. d) Grooming and preparation of animals for judging or showing. e) Dress in proper attire when showing animals. f) Show respect – consideration – and proper attitude and cooperation toward ALL animals, members, equipment, supplies, and facilities as well as judges and spectators. g) When exercising or taking your animal in and out of the building, clean up after them. meat Goat Section 7: Goat Costume Contest 1. The contest will be on Friday at 4:30. 2. Contestants must be exhibitors in the Dairy or Meat Goat Divisions at the Benton County Fair. 3. Must turn in a written commentary describing the theme of your costume. Turn this in the day before the contest to superintendents or designated area. 4. Class Divisions: a) Cloverbud: 5-8 years of age. b) Jr Exhibitors: 9-19 years of age. 5. Judging Criteria: Originality, Creativity, Crowd Pleasing, Animal and Exhibitor in costume, and MOST IMPORTANT, contestant is having a good time!!! meat Goat Division 104 2023 Benton County Fair
