RESTORE AND PROTECT FORMAL ROOMS This area is the first to greet our recruits, members, alumni, and guests and sets the tone for Stubbs Mansion and Nu Chapter. It provides a respectful nod to our history and is a reminder to our brothers of the responsibilities of membership. Our goal is to redirect the men to gather in the basement and second floor to assist in Stubbs Mansion's longevity. We will retain the historic aesthetic of the original woodwork and finishes throughout the first floor while replacing wallcoverings, drapes, and furnishings. KSQ will look at new furniture layouts to increase and improve study areas. MAINTAIN STUDY ROOM UNIQUENESS AND NAMES How and where we lived is important to Nu Chapter and its alumni. After reviewing potential options, it was decided by alumni leadership and the undergraduate chapter to keep the sleeping rooms and current room design. Individual rooms need to be updated, however, and the infrastructure needs to be addressed. ENLARGE SECOND FLOOR Brotherhood can become fractured when 20% are living apart. We must relocate 16 individuals from the basement to upstairs. The enlargement of the rear entryway allows for additional rooms and a lounge area to be created on the second floor. EXPAND DINING ROOM Breaking bread together fosters brotherhood and allows for conversation and memories to be made. The addition will allow for the dining room to be expanded for more brothers and alumni to gather while also aiding in the flow of the dining room to the chapter room. ADDRESS BASEMENT The basement has always been an underutilized area. Our goal is for all undergraduate brothers to live on the second and third floors. A structural analysis indicates the ability to open the area to provide a sought-after gathering space for the chapter to watch the Jayhawks or other big sporting events. The bathroom and laundry room will be remodeled to finish the area, while a dedicated workout/gym space will replace The Dock Room. 5 NU WAY to LIVE BROTHERHOOD TRADITION Working closely with actives, alumni, and fraternity architects, we have determined the
