T
he annual Phi Kappa Theta golf tournament at Veenker Memorial
Golf Course had perfect weather on August 13. While the attendance
was down from last year, we still had a strong turnout of over 50
attendees, including 12 undergraduates participating in the fun.
In a bit of an oddity this time around, John Shaw '75, Bill Bowen '76,
and Bill Fleischacker '75 all shared in the glory as winners of this year's
green jackets. The event served as a great opportunity for brothers to get
together and reminisce about the good ol' college days and catch up on
how things are going in their lives.
The new 2110 Club was announced and garnered over $2,000 in
donations, and the raffle prizes this time around ranged from koozies
and beer glasses to tickets to homecoming and some nice ISU-themed
framed pictures.
Thank you to all who attended and to the following donors who helped
sponsor the event:
D&E Insurance Group – Eric Newendorp '01
DQ – Eric Van Gorp '01
Boelman Shaw – Cory Millmier '12
Olsson – Chris Holmquist '16
Gary Rogers '79, Ed Larson '84, and Monty Clark '84. Undergraduates enjoying food and beverages post-tournament.
