W
e are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding
of Iowa Xi Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta. By the time of our
centennial in 2024, Iowa Xi will be the first PKT chapter in the nation
to have operated continuously for 100 years. We have selected Co-
Chairmen Manni Balignasay '01 and Rick Ball '86 and Honorary
Co-Chairmen Bill Fleischacker '75 and Mike Maloney '76 to lead
the efforts to ensure that this once-in-a-lifetime event will be one that
honors the legacy of Iowa State Phi Kaps from the last century.
Our first order is reaching out to our fellow brothers for
feedback on planning a successful celebration for all.
We have created a survey to assist in the planning; visit
pktalumni.com/survey or scan the QR code to the
right to take the quick survey today. Your responses
will help us plan a meaningful centennial celebration!
Our next order is a call for volunteers! We are looking for all kinds of
help, so if you are interested in being part of the team, drop us an email at
centennial@pktalumni.com.

Our first place pomping display at Homecoming.
We Want To Hear From You!
T

year and took home some hardware:
First place in pomping.
Best representation of the theme.
Best support cast in Yell Like Hell.
The football game vs. the West Virginia Mountaineers was a bit later in
the season than usual, falling on November 5, and the weather was there
to match with temps in the 30s and wind before the game. The fraternity
saw a strong showing at the Alumni General Meeting and an estimated
75-plus attended the tailgate festivities.
