Notify QPD Museum updates Season is starting to wind down and we are looking forward to sum- mer projects at the museum. Yet we still have some time to get together and celebrate! The Quartzsite His- torical Society is hosting Desserts in the Desert, the 2nd Annual Senior Prom at the Senior Center on March 24th. This fundraiser for the Tysons Well Stage Station Mu- seum is going to be a fun event with music and dancing plus yummy des- serts. Do not let the name fool you anyone of any age can come to have some fun. We will also be holding a 50/50 raffl e, a "Get Lei'd Booth", games, door prizes and a great Silent Auction. This event will be held at the Senior Center on Moon Moun- tain Road on March 24th, doors will open at 5:30 pm. Advance tickets can be picked up at the Museum for a $10.00 donation. We are limited to a Class size of 100 so get your tickets soon. If tick- ets remain, they will be a $15.00 donation at the door. We are hop- ing to make this a great fundraiser and appreciate you supporting our little museum. I will be posting pic- tures of some of the auction items on the Quartzsite Historical Society Facebook page for the 2 weeks prior to the event so make sure to follow our page to see some of the wonder- ful items donated so far. If you are a business owner, vendor, artist or crafter who would like to donate an item to the auction give us a call at the museum 928-927-5229 and we will be happy to have a committee member stop by to pick it up. You will fi nd the Quartzsite Histor- ical Society at Buck Connors Day. Be sure to stop by our booth and learn more about the QHS and the museum. To our Winter visitors we are glad you spent time this winter with us and we look forward to your return next season and hope you will make a visit to the museum a yearly stop. To our locals we will be open April thru October on Thursday mornings and are always happy to have you stop by.
