Shoes-organized by size by awesome Carole. Pictures and linens galore – displayed by amaz- ing Sandee. Tons of electrical and home improvement items checked and ready to be rehomed by Darryl and Nat. Kid's clothing, shoes and toys – incredibly displayed by Jane. Our kitchen items are marvelously displayed by Eileen. Office, toilet- ries, and carry bag departments are splendidly organized by Pat. Our Book department is phenom- enally organized by Kay and Lois. Our amazing cler Holly, who besides handling the register does the jewel- ry items. We also have overall store organizers, clerk helpers, miscella- neous department sorters and pric- ers, and our dusters – a never ending task; tasks completed so cheerfully by Mary M. and Mary W., Faye, Martha and Joan. Thanks Lisa for your weekly uplifting music on the flute or keyboard with such cheerful music you play for us outside each Wednesday. We are so blessed with such an amazing group of dedicated and longtime volunteers. Thank you! You are all so appreciated! You give your time. You give your hands. But most of all you give your heart. All you time and effort doesn't go unnoticed. It makes a difference to so many people. Love to our Quartzsite Salvation Army volunteers! Please understand that when you leave items out front before or after hours, your donation may not be re- ceived by us. Items left out front en- courage theft and have been found strewn about. We do have cameras and at times do report to local au- thorities. QPD has more important concerns than property crimes. We appreciate your support. If you are unable to get items to us when we are open, please call and we can make arrangements. I am here weekdays and before and after store hours. Thanks for understanding. Our Jan has a lovely display of sea- shells and related them decorations. Our Mary has a colorful display of St. Patrick's Day items that are now half price. Easter will be coming soon. Hop on down and see all the pretties. Do you have a music interest and like to organize? Our music CDs are in need of reorganizing by genre. Like to work outside? Our parking lot timbers need resetting. I do have some heavy flat hose that could be staked to delineate parking slots. If interested, please come see me. Remember, we have our 10 cent books on the porch. These are books that have condition issues, but still are very readable. Remember, our paperback and hardback books are alphabetized, too. Please understand that our build- ing has no windows, no air ex- change ventilations, our aisles are tight, and we have many senior vol- unteers with health concerns, so we will continue to require a face cov- ering, for both us and our amazing shoppers. We will follow the local health department recommenda- tion: "When indoors wear a mask." We appreciate your understanding. "This is a wonderful day; I have never seen this one before. Tomorrow brings forth a new day, a new month and a renewed sense of gratitude. If you are reading this, you have at least one thing to be thankful for and I am sure you can find more." ~ Maya Angelou Lee-Ann Henle, Manager Quartzsite Salvation Army Thrift Store & Service Center 101 South Moon Mountain Avenue Store 928-927-3636 Cell 360-921-7571 PLEASE…. Some- times one setback is all it takes for a neighbor to need support from their local food bank. While the cost of purchasing and transporting food has increased, we have seen a decrease in dona- tions from people. Our food bank is spending more to meet the needs of our community and doing so with fewer resources. The number of cli- ents has doubled in recent years. As food prices continue to rise, this problem will only worsen—unless we get some help. We know many of you are going to be leaving Quartzsite soon. The Quartzsite Food Bank would love it if you would donate the food you have left in your cupboard to us! Drop off unopened boxes, canned food and bottled at 40 N Moon Mountain on Tues and Thur mornings from 8- noon. That is just north of the Salva- tion Army and Senior Center. You can come in the side gate and not have to wait in line. If you can- not make that time there are food boxes at the Horizon Bank, Road- Runner and Coyote Fresh Grocery Stores, and the Dollar General. If you can make a monetary dona- tion please go to our website Quartz- siteFoodBank.com. If you cannot donate money to us right now did you know you can gift the food bank a car or RV. You can also leave the food bank a gift of money, real estate or other items in your will, Beneficiary Deed or even designate retirement IRA accounts or stock investments to the Friends of the Quartzsite Food Bank. You can also have a Legacy Page on our website QuartzsiteFoodBank.com. Do you work and owe AZ Taxes? You can donate that money to the food bank instead of paying the state with the AZ Tax Credit. You can still donate up till April 15 and get the tax credit. That is not a tax write off but a cred- it on your actual AZ taxes that you owe. Up to $800 of your AZ taxes that you do not have to pay. Dollar for dollar of your donations to us. Don't forget to pick up your gov- ernment boxes at the Western Col- lege 1st and 3rd Mondays 8am to 12. Watch for changes in their days and times on Facebook at Yuma Com- munity Food Bank. The Quartzsite Transit bus service has free rides to the food bank, just call them at 928-927-4333 for de- tails. Thank you for taking the time to read this. For more info or to donate go to QuartzsiteFoodBank.com Or Mail a check and make it out to: FQFB, PO Box 4671, Quartzsite, AZ 85359. Food Bank Hours Tues & Thur 8- noon at 40 N Moon Mountain. Picture ID, like a driver license needed to sign up. You may visit twice a month. Thank You from FQFB and all our hard-working volunteers. If you want to volunteer just show up at 7am Tues or Thur and come in the back gate or stop by and talk to Victor.
