The Agriculture Literacy Program is a way of developing knowledge in Science, Technoloyg, Engineerig, Arts and Mathematics. They will also learn social responsbility and citizenship. On February 7, 2023, students engaged in the Swag Series and learned about cotton, how it grows and the importance of planting the cotton. They enjoyed the lecture and activities. Tracey Waters, Associate from the extension, shared with the students amazing cotton and how it is ben- efi cial to the community. "Most of our things are made of cotton, like our clothes, money, some of our food, they are from cotton seeds", she added. The STEAM Club is an after school program facilitated by Mrs. Christy Carter and Mr. Storm Serena. Meet in Q raffl ed off an installed So- lar System with a value of $5,000. So many Q'ers and Quartzsite locals and vendors helped us make this happen. I know that I'm going to miss a few and I apologize up front but a short list of those that made a difference: Joanne Bess, owner of the Pink Pig in Tyson Wells and Elinore, owner of Mama Bear in Tyson Wells for working tirelessly and recruiting many merchants in Tyson Wells in our effort.
