A look inside the new addition. The S p h i n x WINTER 2023 Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Beta Theta Pi T his past year was one of the most pivotal in the history of Gamma Epsilon. Our 108th year was a recommitment to the success and future of Gamma Epsilon and 500 Sunset. The undergraduate members have been impressive, overcoming adversity and completing all requirements that were set by the Administrative Office of Beta Theta Pi to return to good standing. One lingering requirement was the successful completion of the fall pledge program utilizing the Sons of Stars program, which is now complete! Gamma Epsilon will be returning to good standing in spring 2023. For those who have waited to support the campaign because of this, now is the time to move forward with us! Beyond the undergraduate commitment, Gamma Epsilon alumni are giving back more than ever before. Countless hours have been spent working with the chapter officers to return Gamma Epsilon as the premier fraternity at K-State. The leadership of the Holding Company has allowed us to begin construction on the addition and renovation of the rest of 500 Sunset, which will occur this spring. Based on our current schedule, construction will be finished by the start of the fall 2023 semester. That does not mean the project is fully funded just yet. The current total raised is just over $1.9 million from over 120 alumni, but we based this campaign on Gamma Epsilon's commitment to dominating the K-State campus. Our $4 million project would be funded with a $1 million mortgage and a $3 million fundraising goal. Sigma Chi leads at K-State with a $3.5 million renovation from over 250 donors, but FarmHouse had over 300 donors. I know we can top both those efforts, which would significantly reduce the debt the Holding Company will have to take on to complete this project. We need your pledge to this campaign and to Gamma Epsilon! If you've already contributed, we truly appreciate your support! Any additional amount you can give will go a long way toward our goal. If you haven't yet contributed, please join your brothers who are doing their part. Beta Theta Pi helped us all grow into the men we are today. The brotherhood we received, the lessons we learned, and the stories we continue to share trace their way back to Gamma Epsilon and 500 Sunset. This campaign will continue the legacy we all helped to build.
