2 G amma Theta began our fall semester by recruiting 34 young men for our 2022 fall pledge class, 29 of whom were initiated in November. During the fall, we had several community service and philanthropy events. These included setting up Pumpkin Palooza in downtown Starkville, hosting a canned food drive for Starkville Strong, and washing firetrucks for the Starkville Fire Department each month. We also hosted our annual Pikes for Pups event, in which we donated $2,885 to the Homeward Bound Project. We also raised over $2,000 at our fried Oreo night. We were pleased to award a $1,000 scholarship from the Gamma Theta Academic Excellence Fund to brother Landon Saffle '21 for winning Most Improved Pike Scholar as part of our new program to promote high academic achievement. This semester at our annual alumni date party, we honored multiple active and alumni brothers for their contributions to the chapter.
